Tier Progression
Tier Progression is part of the current end-game experience on Karana. Each Tier rewards a variety of new options for Armor, non-vis gear, weapons, tasks, and more.
Tier 1-3 is built on the Lost Dungeons of Norrath Adventure system, with point tokens awarded for completing tasks and found as loot in the zones for the tier. Pro tip: T1-3 share points at the vendors, but like with LDoN vendors on Live, you must earn at least enough points in each tier to cover the cost of an item to purchase items from the vendors using points earned in other tiers. Some tiers are more efficient for farming than others...do with this information what you will...
Tier 4+ use Alternate Currency to purchase gear items from their respective vendors.
Tier 1 - Halas Expeditions
(3 Instances)
- Savage Lords in the Guild Lobby
- Savage Lord Etherat - Easy
- Savage Lord Chadder - Medium
- Savage Lord Bart - Hard
- Pro tip: All 3 tasks can be completed in each instance. Say "Request" to each dragon before clicking "Ready". Once all three tasks are complete, /kickp exp to leave the instance, pick up all three tasks again, and move on to the next dragon and click "Ready", rinse repeat each time to receive 3x rewards per instance lockout.
Tier 2 - Crypt of Shade
(Open World & Instance)
- Vendor - Commander Rael in the Guild Lobby
- Pick up task from Commander Rael before zoning into Crypt of Shade
- Trash in Crypt of Shade has a chance to drop T2 point tokens, non-vis armor, weapons, and more

- No matter what your old raid leader used to say the answer is not always “burn the boss”
- Not all golems are created equal, some resist more, some hit harder, with creative positioning some can be ignored entirely

Tier 3 - GukA
(Open World & Instance)
- Vendor - Quellious Hand
- Pick up task from Quellious Hand before zoning into GukA
- This is a true dungeon crawl zone
- Limited to 5 bots per PC; unique classes
- Mini-nameds drop non-vis loot for most classes
- Speak to "A Friendly Ghost" near the entrance and work your way toward "A Broken Soul" to uncover the source of the corruption in the zone.
Event/Boss

- Ignore spawns at your own peril
- Don't be surprised if you die sometimes, even if you think you did everything right
- Positioning is important...a spawn in a wall still must die
- Various weapon, armor, and aug upgrades (loot hidden on Allaclone)
Tier 4 - Plane of Shadow
(Open World & Instance)
- Vendor - Karana Chmapion
- Currency - Chronobines
- Taskmaster Jarcoon in Plane of Shadow offers many tasks that reward both currency and items upon completion
- Click "Rewards" in his dialogue to see items rewarded for each task
- Various mini-nameds around the zone offer unique non-vis loots
- Frail Heroes
- Named for several players active on the server when T4 was launched
- Drop various rings for all classes
- Fabled Evil Eye
- If it can see you, it will let you know
- Unique aug to complement your collection of Redfeather Sand Stones

- 5 Nameds around the zone drop weapons, tier armor, augs, ranged items, and more
- Some loot is shared, some is unique to each named
